Yamaha Sidewinder X-TX SE Features
Premium Front Shock Fox Zero QS3 1.5
The X-TX SE sidewinder is equipped with a Fox Zero QS3 shock for a premium upgrade to this model.
Fox high-pressure gas coil spring shock features a piggyback chamber for reduced fading, excellent control, and three easily adjustable compression damping performance settings so that riders can adjust the ride to riding conditions and preferences quickly and easily.
Yamaha Mountain Ski
The lightweight Yamaha Mountain Ski delivers everything you want in deep snow skiing. Its wide trail enhances flotation and actively raises the nose of the sled onto the plane in a deep powder.
Traction lugs at the top of the ski give the Rider a definite foothold when the situation becomes complicated.
The wide, deep keel design provides lightweight steering yet confident, predictable handling on hard packs and new furs.
Mountain Chair
Lightweight with a high and narrow profile, the X-TX mountain seat is shorter and tapers forward more than our standard trail seat. This allows for an easier rider transition from side to side and better standup ergonomics.
Yamaha Sidewinder X-TX SE Comfort
Handlebar control has a left-handed switch cluster that allows ‘on-the-fly’ access to the hand warmer adjuster and multi-step thumb.
The information on the multi-function gauge can be easily selected with a convenient toggle switch. The push-button reverse gear switch is also located in the left-hand cluster.
The right side of the bar is clean with an ergonomically shaped throttle lever and a simple, stand-alone emergency stop switch.
The Hayes ‘Stealth’ brake cylinders are equipped with composite brake levers that provide excellent modulation for better feeling and strong stopping performance.
Lightweight with a high and narrow profile, the X-TX mountain seat is shorter and tapers forward more than our standard trail seat. This allows for an easier transition of the Rider from side to side and better standup ergonomics.
Convenient handlebar positioning makes it easy to shift gears to and from the rear by simply pressing the Rider’s thumb. The servo motor turns the drivetrain into reverse thoroughly and consistently.
The Sidewinder’s 10-gallon/38-liter fuel tank serves more than just carrying fuel for a day. It also cradles the battery and is a platform for a quick-release trail seat.
The ever-changing fuel load is carried low and backward, helping to concentrate the overall mass and balance of the sled.

Yamaha Sidewinder X-TX SE Performance
The braking effect of a four-stroke engine when the throttle valve is closed significantly impacts the handling and ride character.
Yamaha developed a unique system that uses the Idle Speed Control Circuit (ISC) and ECU maps using throttle valve movement and RPM information to reduce negative intake pressure during deceleration.
The Mitsubishi ECU developed by Yamaha uses nine sensors to collect running condition data calculated using a predefined memory ‘map.’
It then adjusts ignition time, fuel delivery, manifold air pressure, and turbo boost pressure to deliver maximum performance under any conditions—reliably.
Unlike conventional turbo ‘blow-off’ valves, the Yamaha ABV switches air pressure back to the compressor’s intake side to prevent surges and help maintain impeller speed, resulting in ready acceleration and smooth power delivery.
The YSRC primary clutch and secondary rollers are calibrated for long-lasting and cold operation. They utilize and efficiently transfer the ample torque generated by the Genesis Turbo to the track while minimizing drive belt wear.
The primary shifts out aggressively to use all the power on the beat. The secondary roller quickly reverses and provides an additional ratio through its large pulley to continue accelerating long after the other has stopped.
The sleek SRV-M Front Suspension is very compact to reduce spindle pulling force and unwanted suspension components in heavy snow.
The little easel allows extreme maneuverability and provides aggressive, streamlined angles for outstanding side-hilling and powder turn capabilities.
The lightweight forged aluminum coils join the wide spacing upper and lower control arms resulting in large caster angles for tight side filling and ease of steering.
The clean and narrow overall attitude and the removal of the sway bar also significantly increase the agility of the deep snow.

The 40-inch skiing stance touches the sweet spot between stability on the trail with cornering prowess and off-track maneuverability for heavy snow carvings with a quick transition from side to side.
The Yamaha Mountain Ski, with its comprehensive profile and single-keep design, complements the narrower horses for off-trail agility and on-trail confidence.
The tall and dedicated steering post provides optimum ergonomics for standup rides. The 5.5-inch riser with wide, shaped, curved mountain bars and incorporated mountain straps give enough leverage for off-trail riding. The system can be customized to perform sweeps and ranges to help riders stay in the sweet spot.
